It’s having an amazing holiday to look forward to! Now we know what you’re thinking. “Where should I go”? “what should I do”? “does pineapple belong on pizza”?
All of your questions will be answered right now! (Except maybe the last one), because we have made a list of our TOP four holiday destinations for 2020.
So take a look below and discover your next holiday.
Let’s start this showcase with the beautiful island of Jamaica.
If you’re thinking of doing something exceptional for your family holiday this year, perhaps you’re celebrating a honeymoon or just want the perfect romantic island escape? Jamaica is the perfect destination for you.
Let us paint a picture of your dream holiday: you’re relaxing on a stunning beach, there’s a light sea breeze, the warmth of the sun is on your skin and your waiter is bringing you unlimited ice-cold cocktails.
It may just seem like a fantasy, but it doesn’t have to be. If you want to make this dream a reality, we suggest you visit Montego Bay. You will find fantastic luxury all-inclusive hotel resorts, located directly on breath-taking sandy beaches, with views of the sapphire blue waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Our favourite destination in Germany is Berlin, the capital city and the perfect destination for anyone looking for a short break. Couples, families, solo travellers and groups of friends can all enjoy their time here, even if it’s only for a few days.
The pubs and the bars are almost enough of a reason to visit Berlin. They serve world-class beers and offer a magnetic atmosphere, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg, Berlin is so much more.
We couldn’t talk about Berlin without mentioning the food; from currywurst and schnitzel to pretzels and strudel, Berlin is the food lover’s dream. There’s plenty of food stalls and restaurants to choose from, all you need is an appetite and a day to explore.
If you want to do something special for dinner, we suggest you book a table at the Berliner TV Tower (shown below). It’s the tallest structure in Germany and boasts a rotating restaurant, giving you a magical view of the city while you enjoy your wonderful meal.
Berlin is a city rich in history. A history that has been preserved and documented by remarkable museums; there are many in Berlin but for the best experience we recommend you visit ‘Museum Island’, a collection of five museums located alongside the River Spree. It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
For those that want to learn Berlin’s history by exploring, we suggest you follow the path of where the infamous Berlin Wall once stood, taking pictures and lining your photos up to old images of Berlin in the 70s. An interesting way to see how much Berlin has developed in recent years.
Remember to leave some time to visit the Brandenburg gate. This 18th-century landmark is one of Berlin’s best-known landmarks and a must-see for all travellers.
For the next destination on our must-go list for 2020, we’ve picked somewhere a little closer to home, Ireland, also known as the Emerald Isle. Home to Conor McGregor, Guinness and Craic (which means Irish fun and enjoyment apparently), this is a destination we believe everyone should visit at least once and we’ll tell you why!
All travellers can appreciate the natural beauty of Ireland. This beauty is not just the peaceful Irish countryside and magnificent windswept cliffs - we should also shine a light on the people of Ireland, known to be some of the most polite and welcoming people in Europe. So definitely take some time to talk to the locals and learn more about Ireland through their stories and experiences.
Our recommendation of where to go in Ireland is the little-known harbour city of Galway. Our favourite destination in Ireland this year. The festivals, markets and concerts give Galway a lively atmosphere, plus it’s a great destination for the younger generation, so bring your family and friends along. The city is quickly becoming one of the most popular cities to visit in 2020, making Galway Ireland’s worst kept secret.
For the adventurous we suggest taking one of the many hiking trails around the island, climbing The Famous Diamond Hill, or walking along the Cliffs of Moher where 13km of amazing coastal views await you. Don’t forget that camera.
Still unsure what kind of holiday experience you want? That’s fine, we won’t judge you. We know it can be hard to decide, so the last destination on our TOP four list Thailand. The perfect place for the indecisive traveller, read on to see why.
So you want to chill on the beach all day, explore a city at night and visit a historical site the next morning? Some would call you mad, we call it adventurous. You can do all of those activities and more on a holiday to Thailand.
Couples, families, friends and solo travellers can all find something to love in Thailand, where you can have a beach and city holiday all in one country. With that in mind, we recommend you spend some time in the capital city of Thailand, Bangkok, known for its world-famous street food and amazing historical sites.
Surprisingly only a short flight away, you will find some of the most beautiful white-sand beaches in the world! Our favourite beaches in Thailand are Railay Beach and Phra Nang Beach. They are only accessible by boat but you will be incredibly happy you made the journey.
So now we’re sure the only question you have left is “does pineapple belong on pizza”? We’re going to let you decide that one. But one thing we do know is you should book one of these destinations for your next holiday so give us a call, send us an email or pop in store today. We’ll help you throw away those winter blues and book a holiday you can look forward to.
